A NEW WORLD FOR US AT EASTER!
11th to 15th APRIL 2020
“And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power – 1 Corinthians 6:14
The story of Christ’s death on the cross and his resurrection three days later is the central drama of Christianity. This “drama” is also the best revelation of the presence of God in human suffering before the break of a glorious dawn according to the plan of God. The last days of Jesus Christ, his suffering and crucifixion was the most harrowing period in the lives of the Apostles. The darkness upon the earth, especially during the last three days heralding the Lord’s resurrection was unprecedented in the history of humanity; It was the darkest and the longest night ever experienced by the Apostles. Most Christian denominations, as well as other faith groups observe EASTER as a celebration to observe the death and resurrection of the Lord. Therefore, on this 12th day of April 2020, I must greet you, HAPPY EASTER, beloved!
There is no doubt that the meaning of Easter is lost on so many of us; So, we do not like to celebrate Easter. But our beliefs do not stop the heavenly order regarding the plan of God for humanity on this auspicious moment when the heavens are opened, and the grace of God moves in its magnificence across the entire creation in and out of humanity, bringing everything that is sick or dead, back to life! The ETERNAL WORD OF GOD – Jesus Christ, who also is the spirit of God that created ALL things, IS AT WORK RIGHT NOW, rebuilding and holding the world together in peace and harmony, according to His divine purpose. The bible teaches that Jesus overcame the circles of life and fate by overcoming death and suffering, not just for himself, but FOR THE WHOLE WORLD. This is the greatest plan of God for humanity, especially for those who believe, that they shall not die, and that even if they die, they shall arise again. Therefore, in Christ, there is NO DEATH ANYMORE, only life eternal, Life in perpetuity! (1 Peter 3:18-20; John 11:25; Romans 10:5-10; Ephesians 4:7-10, John 19:30; Matthew 12:38-41)
The plan of God is to make us like Jesus Christ. Therefore, God is at work during this season, changing lives and regenerating souls. He does this in a mystery. Therefore, on this occasion of the Spring Equinox, when nature comes alive again, the church also celebrates Easter. Why? Because this is the period of the year when the heavens are opened, and the Eternal Word of God is released by God so as to resurrect all the dead aspects of nature and to rekindle the hearts of men towards higher glory. And we say Happy Easter to ALL, especially to all men and women of faith in the Eternal Word of God which became Jesus Christ. From this moment onwards, the cross of life has become the Cross of liberation and victory! We now have a new life; Glory be to God!
The disciples
however forgot that Jesus had told them that the night of his atrocious death
must come, in order for the dawn of joyous life to begin (Luke 9:22, 45-46) In
the same vein, the word of God is reminding us today that the present world
characterized by sin, misery and the rule of the deceiver must end in the death
of God’s Son, in order that the new world to come characterized by holiness and
the awesome presence of God could be fully realized. As there was a new
creation on the third day when Jesus was raised, so we shall experience a new world
order shortly. Although the world is
sick and quarantined right now due to COVID – 19, a new world free from disease
and all manner of imbalance will emerge soon to the glory of God! In Luke 24,
we see the newness of this new day and new creation upon Jesus resurrection, revealed
in; A new life and a new man ( Ref: Luke
24:33-53; 1 Corinthians 15:45-49:); A new understanding ( Ref: Luke 24:13-27);
A new power ( Ref: Luke 24:49), and A new worship (Luke 24:52-53)
Beloved in Christ, Remember that everything changes because of the empty tomb;
The womb from which comes the new creation ruled by the glorified God-Man! Therefore,
this new life in Jesus means for us, a new destination; The New Heavens and the
New Earth – wherein righteousness dwells- for this present age and old world is
passing away, but he who does the will of the LORD abides forever (1 John 2:17;
Revelation 22).
HAPPY EASTER BELOVED! WISHING YOU A BLESSED NEW WORLD!
PRAYER
Father in the name of Jesus Christ, grant me a new life in Christ today. Renew the world according to your plan for humanity. Father transform every bad situation around the world today; strengthen the weak and heal the afflicted. Usher in your kingdom of justice, equity and righteousness. Father, grant that your mercy and love will flow freely from the heart of every man towards another. Thank you, Father, AMEN.
