BEHOLD THE MEDICINE OF LIFE!!! (PART 2 OF 2)

“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” – Hebrews 8:10

Yesterday, we started a discussion on what amounts to the medicine of life. Today, we shall continue from where we stopped by looking at other reasons, we don’t seem to make progress in spite of God’s gift to us. Yesterday, we identified that our wrong choices are the main reasons our expectations are not met.  A second reason is;

 Wrong counselling: As stated earlier, getting out of a hopeless situation is not easy for anyone, especially with wrong advisers all about us. To be a victim of wrong counselling is anti-progress, so we have to be extremely careful about whose advice we are subscribing to. One very unfortunate thing that has happened recently is that so many are doing what they are not cut out for. We have many charlatans all about us. Be very careful not to fall prey to wrong counselling! In addition to that, I observed with pain that some professionals are half baked, and so cannot give sound professional judgment, even on very simple matters, as a result of which many simple and harmless issues have become complicated, leading to serious financial or medical complications. That is the main reason I advised strongly that those who are ill should go to a hospital, not to the church. The church is not a hospital. Nevertheless, prayers and Medicare should go together, but should be administered by different people; Therefore, even while in the hospital, it is not out of place to get the Pastors to pray for you as well.  

 Lack of service: We are all tenants in the world and the rent we pay is our service to humanity. Charity and expression of love are keys to human existence. We ought to give willingly of our time, comfort, and money to serve the need of others. It is by so doing that we can be blessed in return. Your tithes and seed sowing yield more harvest when supported by works of charity. Jesus says it is better to save lives on a Sabbath day, rather than turn a deaf air to a distress calls on the Sabbath. Sabbath is meant for us and not us for the Sabbath! This is a hard statement coming from the Master himself. Therefore, if you use your tithes to save a life, God is equally happy, and you will receive bountifully from God! The lives you have saved also belong to God! Remember, anything you do to others, you have done to Jesus and to God. However, the fact that you gave your tithe to help someone in need doesn’t mean you have now been freed from your obligation to your church and your minister of the gospel. Therefore, as you give tithes to the church, remember to do direct works of charity as well. God bless you beloved!

PRAYER

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, today I break away from every hopeless situation and condition. Father, your word is the medicine that I need! Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. From today, I decree I am well guided and my victory is assured. AMEN.
